Ski Club

by Sam Gilkes, reporter

It is that time of year again. The snow is falling, the wind is howling, and road salt is everywhere. That is right, it is time for Ski Club. Hosted by Ms. Horvat, Ski Club is an opportunity for students to gather at Big Boulder and hit the slopes.

Senior Jeremy Annan says, “Ski Club is the most fun thing I’ve done in the winter. We have yet to go Boulder this year, but when we do, everyone who goes has a great time.”

In the Ski Club, partakers are allowed to ski or snowboard on every difficulty, save for Black Diamond, which is for the more experienced boarders. In addition to the snow and powder, the members of Ski Club can also chow down in the food court of Big Boulder.

Alan Dent, who actually works there, says, “The onion soup is probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten in all of my days being here. Joining Ski Club for the food alone is worth it.”

Whether students join Ski Club for the skis or the snowboards, or in Alan’s case, the onion soup, it seems to be a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
