What makes a good student?

by Mia Lowin, Reporter

What are the true qualities for something that defines “the perfect student”?  There really is not exactly such a thing as “perfect student”. There are students who complete their work, have good study habits, and try for their grades. This is what people can call a good student. Good students make mistakes along the road, but they learn from them, and that is what truly makes them an excellent student.

I find students who are organized and work hard perform better,” said Mr. Eichelberger

A good student is someone who has a full interest and desire to learn. A valuable student should have a willingness to work hard. If a student does not have a liking for what they are studying, then the student most likely will not succeed in the subject.

“Students who are more organized generally perform better than students who are not,” Mr. Eichelberger said.

Lots of students who are involved in extracurricular activities also seem to achieve their goals in school. These involved students seem to know how to manage their time. Good students also get their work done handed in on time. If a student does not have much homework, they should know when their next test is so they could prepare for it.

“Study every night. Even if there is no homework then they should study their notes,” Mr. Eichelberger stated.

These are all of the qualities good students generally have. Good study habits, work ethic, and completed work, are some to name a few. Remember it is okay to make mistakes, after all that is how good students learn.
