Released on January 15, 2015, American Sniper was an instant hit in the box office. Based on the book American Sniper by Jason Hall and staring Bradley Cooper, this drama/ action film portrays the life of war hero, Chris Kyle and his mission to protect his country.

Directed by Clint Eastwood, this film follows Chris Kyle on his mission in Iraq and also his at home life and how the war has affected it.   He becomes known has a legend among his fellow soldiers because of his amazing accuracy with a sniper rifle. However, he was not just becoming famous within the Americans. His reputation was spreading to behind enemy lines. Being the well-known hero has its negative side. After surviving four long tours with a target on his back, Kyle has his own disputes arising at home.

When asked her opinion on the film, Lindsay Capper stated, “It was very intense and also very heartwarming at the same time. It kept you on the edge of your seat.”

Making a incredible $330 million, American Sniper is currently ranked second in R-rated movies just behind The Passion of the Christ with $370.8 million.

My opinion on the film was that it was really intense and well put together. It was directed very well and depicted the life and journeys of Chris Kyle as well as a movie could.
